Sunday Market in the Square

The popular Government Street Market is moving into Centennial Square. The Sunday Market in the Square offers an exciting assortment of arts, crafts, locally designed clothing, imports, food and entertainment. This move also offers an opportunity for a vibrant downtown Sunday farmers' market which will grow as we move into the season. In May, the farmer's market will showcase plant starts, locally raised meats and eggs, artisan breads and baking, preserves, flowers and much more.

Visit Bastion Square is transformed into a colourful and eclectic European-style artisan's showcase and open-air marketplace. The Other Emily:Redefining Emily Carr

Emily Carr is known as Canada's greatest woman artist, but how well do we know the real Emily Carr? This exhibition will shake off the stubborn stereotypes that have come to characterize the iconic artist. The attractions draws on the Royal BC Museum's vast Carr collection to mount the first-ever exhibition to explore the artist's life before she became famous - from her teenage years to just before her emergence on the national art scene in 1927. This exhibition is included with regular museum admission or with membership.
