Self Check-in is available for arrivals outside of office hours, those wanting a no contact check-in or who cannot confirm a definite time. Self check-ins can use our key pick up service at the Parkside Hotel.

parking

Take the down ramp at the side of the building to access secure parking. All parking is on one level:  #30

mail & deliveries

MAIL:  on “G level” in the lobby.

The front door directory will be programmed to your cell phone.*only for stays 3 months or more

Access # From (cell) Phone 9 (press and hold for 30 sec).

 Your delivery or visitor will punch in your door code. They have 5 minutes to reach the elevator bank to get up to your apartment.

The concierge can also accept parcels on your behalf.

Resident Lounge is open daily. See any posted bulletins for time changes or Covid protocols.

electronics

One large flat screen TV in the living space with streaming apps. A second TV an be rented for the bedroom if desired.

kitchen basics

The fan/hood above the stovetop should be turned on while cooking. Simply pull forward to access lights and fan then push back to turn off.

Stainless sinks & stovetop – please do not use scratchy, abrasive cleaning pads as they will mar the finish.

Do not line the oven with foil as the gas element under the bottom of the oven may not work.

bath basics

Keep condensation down by utilizing the bathroom fan during baths or showers. 

Toilets are low flow so you need to hold the handle until the bulk of the flush is completed.

Bed basics

MBR offers a king bed. The flex-room offers a double wall bed as well as office/desk set up.

 

thermostat

Normal default setting is “auto”. For cold days switch to “heat” or hot days switch to “cool”. Fan should stay on “auto”. You can make adjustments to suit your comfort level.

DISHWASHER

Full size WASHER: Please leave the door ajar after use to air it out. The rubber ring should be wiped down from time to time to avoid mould and odors,

Tenants are expected to clear lint from the lint screen inside the dryer after each load. Failure to do so will cause damage to the machine and even pose a fire hazard.

visitor parking

The building has several free visitor parking spaces. Please note that residents are not allowed to take up those spaces.

house & building rules

  1. Park only in your designated area.
  2. Quiet time is from 10pm to 7am. During these hours it is expected that music be turned low and people use their “inside” voices.
  3. SECURITY: Please do not let anyone walk in behind you without them showing you their fob and key set. Similarity, when entering the parkade, stop just at the other side of the gate parking only when it fully closes so that no other vehicle can slip in behind you.
  4. The property including the balcony and all shared spaces are SMOKE FREE.
  5. There is a maximum occupancy of 3 persons including permanent residents and a guest.

  • Tenant will replenish as they run out.

safety, health & security

Smoke Detectors are located in the unit and are hard-wired into the home and battery powered so they can activate if there is a power outage.

In case of a fire

– Exit the property as quickly as possible
– Ensure that all persons are accounted for
– Dial 911 and ask for ‘FIRE’

The building offer several layers of security:  front entrance,  garage gates, entrance from the garage and secure elevators.  Do not let unknown persons tailgate you upon entering the building.
