Only for select properties that accept credit card payments. Other payment options are: Wise for international e-transfers or direct bank wire. Most properties accept email transfers from any Canadian bank.

In BC landlords and property managers can charge up to 1/2 month rent as a security deposit against possible damages to the property. If a pet is involved, an additional 1/2 month rent can be charged to offset any damages caused by a pet or extra final cleaning due to pets.

Yes, all the units on the site have been vetted. Vetting includes the following:

• visual confirmation of the property and its contents
• owner confirmation by property Title
• condition inspections to assure everything is working in the unit

When reviewing your lease agreement check on the following:

• cancellation or early termination clause
• conditions for returning your damage deposit and when
• what is included in the rent
• make sure your personal requirements like parking etc are in fact included

It never hurts to preview a rental space before signing anything. However, sometimes, you cannot be physically present to do so. In that case, ask for a virtual tour via Zoom, FaceTime or WhatsApp with the agent or homeowner you are dealing with.
