We accidentally discovered Downtown Furnished Rentals owner Helena Looby last year while Zillow-searching for a long-term housing condo in Victoria.  When we found a listing we liked, we reached out to her to let her know we were interested in flying up to Victoria to meet with her and view the property before making any commitments to it.  Helena was very responsive to our inquiry and shared lots of helpful local information so we could have a chance to walk and explore the neighborhoods around the condo during our scouting trip.  It was a great visit and Helena is a serious, legit agent.  We met her at the condo, she gave us all the time we needed inside to test the plumbing and "guts" of the place, and toured us through the rest of the building.  When we made the decision to sign a lease for the long-term housing condo she showed to us, she worked diligently to accommodate both our needs and those of the condo owners.  She was a fair and reasonable mediator and we were able to sign a solid lease during our visit to Victoria before we left home to get ready to return to Victoria.  Once we came back and occupied the condo, our communication with Helena about routine condo matters was always answered quickly and each time resolved any concerns.  As owners of a rental property back home ourselves, we know how complicated it can be to manage both sides of a rental transaction, and Helena is a true professional agent at it.  We've been extremely happy with our long-term housing condo arrangement in Victoria and we have Helena to thank for all the wonderful work she invested in making it work out. Place was clean, lovely to have  basics, towels and linens provided, great location to downtown , extra blankets and couch throws would be appreciated, the single  tea towel  and the two teaspoons  just weren’t enough Overall 9.5 out of 10!!! We are so glad that we have found Downtown Furnished Rentals. Helena has been very professional and supportive through out our one year rental. We were looking for rental in Victoria remotely from Asia a year ago and Helena has been very helpful and responsive which enable us smoothly transition to this beautiful city. The corner apartment that we rented from them is exactly what we hope for; nearly new, spacious, well-established, lots of windows allow tons of natural light and in a very convenient location with a quiet and friendly neighborhood (Fairfield). We're so happy we found Downtown Furnished Rentals for our 2-month stay in Victoria. The suite we rented from them was amazing: it had an unbeatable view, tons of natural light, thoughtful furnishings, and perfect location. Helena was wonderful to work with: super responsive and helpful with all of our requests. The check-in process was incredibly easy as well. Helena was a wonderful rental broker - found us the perfect lttle place to tide us over for a few months between selling our home and buying a new one. She was friendly, always helpful, always available, and extremely accomodating. We would definitely return if we needed furnished accomodation in the future. Helena has been the property manager of our downtown Victoria condo for the past three years.  She has made being an absentee property owner and landlord very, very easy.  She is super efficient.  Very fair and easy to communicate with,  and reach if necessary.  Most importantly, in those three years we have not had a single day without a tenant.
